Centre for Arts, Culture, and Communication at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences presents the Digital Technology in Arts Education Conference
May 30 - June 1, 2017 in Bergen, Norway
The conference will be interdisciplinary, linking together arts and education, researchers, educators, and artists, for 3 days of research presentations, performances, and hands-on workshops.
Digital technology holds the potential to transform arts and education. Today, most cultural expressions are made using digital technology, which makes it easy to create transmedial artefacts, remediating and remixing existing material into new forms. Thus technology provides multiple meeting points between the various disciplines in arts education, like music, drama, literature, visual arts, media design, etc.
The aim of the conference is to bring together a multitude of voices and perspectives, and further encourage future development of this didactic field.
